Comment installer Xcode 4.2.1 pour OS X Lion 10.7.5

Ces instructions disent "installer xcode", mais ensuite disent "une fois que vous avez installé xcode". Pardon, n'ont-ils pas sauté une étape ? Comment faites-vous installer xcode ?

2.1.1. Installer Xcode sur OS X 10.9 ou supérieur

Téléchargez la dernière version de Xcode à partir du site Web des développeurs d'Apple. ou obtenez-la sur le Mac App Store.

Une fois que vous avez installé Xcode, ouvrez un terminal, exécutez xcode-select --install, ...

D'accord, je n'utilise pas la 10.9. Voici les instructions de ma version :

Si vous disposez d'une version antérieure de Mac OS X, vous pouvez télécharger l'application dernière version de Xcode pour OS X 10.5 (Xcode 3.0 et Xcode 3.1) ou 10.4 (Xcode 2.4.1 et Xcode 2.5). Je double-clique sur le téléchargement et l'installe sur les applications ? Désolé, c'est un processus étranger.

Donc j'ai besoin d'exécuter Install Xcode qui, apparemment, n'est pas un script ou un exécutable...je vais cliquer dessus avec la souris. Pour la postérité, j'ai pensé que je devais au moins mentionner ceci à toute autre personne qu'il y a une chose supplémentaire à faire pour installer XCode.

Oui, vous pouvez l'installer dans /Applications.

Après avoir téléchargé le Xcode.dmg, double-cliquez sur l'image pour la monter (si elle n'est pas déjà montée automatiquement).

Vous trouverez un fichier pkg à l'intérieur. .pkg est l'extension de fichier pour les paquets logiciels dans OS X (et iOS). Si vous double-cliquez sur le paquetage, l'application connexe "Installer" l'ouvrira et vous pourrez l'installer.

Les images Xcode ultérieures (par exemple Xcode 4.6.3 - également pour Lion) contiennent déjà un paquet d'applications : Xcode.app. Pour l'"installer", il suffit de le copier/déplacer dans le dossier Applications.
