Comme mon disque se bloque de temps en temps, je devrais retirer le câble. (voir la question ci-dessous pour plus de détails) :
J'ai entendu dire que cela pouvait endommager (ou casser, dans le pire des cas) le disque, et je me demande donc s'il existe un moyen de forcer l'éjection d'un périphérique qui éviterait les dommages physiques. J'ai besoin de l'éjecter de force parce que le lecteur (comme les autres lecteurs ordinaires) essaiera de lire un bloc encore et encore jusqu'à ce qu'il lise avec succès ou atteigne le délai d'attente. Lorsqu'il est bloqué en essayant de lire un bloc endommagé, le noyau bloque le processus/thread jusqu'à ce qu'il y ait un résultat. L'application en attente d'E/S se comportera comme si elle était arrêtée, de sorte que même l'utilisation de force quit / sigkill n'arrêtera pas l'application. Comme le délai d'attente est généralement long pour les disques durs domestiques, le composant principal de l'interface graphique du système (Finder + Dock) se fige pendant un long moment, empêchant ainsi une utilisation normale.
Notez que forcer l'éjection d'un périphérique n'est pas équivalent à forcer le démontage d'une partition. L'éjection forcée du disque dur fera atterrir l'en-tête de lecture/écriture dans la zone de stationnement, et le disque s'arrêtera de tourner.
Edit : J'ai remplacé mon disque par un nouveau (même modèle, en fait) et utilisé ddrescue pour copier toutes les données. J'ai trouvé 3 zones défectueuses d'environ 1 Mo chacune. ddrescue s'est figé lorsqu'il a rencontré ces zones défectueuses (j'utilise l'accès au disque brut, c'est-à-dire /dev/rdiskX), donc ce n'est pas un problème système. Cependant, j'aimerais quand même savoir comment éjecter de force un périphérique de stockage de masse lorsqu'il est bloqué.

Je suis inquiet pour ce disque. Faites une sauvegarde. Essayez un autre port et un autre câble. Si ça ne marche pas, envisagez un nouveau boîtier. Si ça ne marche pas, un nouveau disque.

C'est votre disque et vos données. Ce que vous rapportez n'est pas normal. Quelque chose ne va pas. Essayez un autre câble et un autre port. Essayez un autre ordinateur si vous le pouvez. L'utilisation du swap est élevée. Swap utilisé 14.72 GB Bien que ce ne soit qu'un problème de performance.
