Pourquoi ne puis-je pas ouvrir des fichiers DMG qui se trouvent sur un système de fichiers NFS en lecture seule ?

J'ai découvert un problème étrange... si j'ai des fichiers d'image disque (DMG) qui résident sur un partage NFS en lecture seule, je ne peux pas les ouvrir dans Mac OS X 10.7.5. Les mêmes fichiers s'ouvrent bien lorsqu'on y accède par AFP. Cependant, si j'essaie de les ouvrir en utilisant hdiutil attach alors qu'ils sont sur le partage NFS, le résultat est "attach failed - Read-only file system" :

bash-3.2# /usr/bin/hdiutil attach /Volumes/nfs_share/Some.dmg
hdiutil: attach failed - Read-only file system

Même si le partage AFP est en lecture seule, je peux joindre ces mêmes images. Mais pour une raison quelconque, une lecture seule NFS Le partage ne fonctionne pas.

En fin de compte, ce que je veulent à faire est de joindre les images avec un fichier fantôme pour monter les images en lecture seule en lecture-écriture. Mais cela échoue également de la même manière :

Là encore, cela fonctionne parfaitement si l'image est servie via AFP. Cela fonctionne également si le partage NFS est en lecture-écriture, mais pour des raisons de sécurité, je ne peux pas le faire.

Comment puis-je monter des fichiers DMG qui résident sur un partage NFS en lecture seule ?

Je m'intéresse à cette question depuis Nov 2012 et j'ai même configuré une VM FreeNAS pour reproduire le problème.

J'ai fini par abandonner mais depuis que la question a été ressuscitée Je vais partager ce que j'ai découvert à l'époque et au cours des dernières heures (heureusement, je n'ai pas supprimé la VM) et ce que je pense être la cause de ce problème. J'ai également trouvé une solution de contournement.

Mon installation

Tout d'abord, voici mon installation de test :

  • OS X 10.8.2 (désolé, pas de 10.7.5 dans les parages).

  • FreeNAS (FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p1)

    (La version de l'OP est FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p7 - je n'ai pas pu trouver la même version).

  • Un système de fichiers NAS en /mnt/raid :

  • Un utilisateur nommé netboot :

  • Un système de fichiers AFP ( /mnt/raid/netboot ) exporté en tant que netboot :

    (Notez qu'il est configuré en lecture seule).

  • Un système de fichiers NFS (même chemin que le système de fichiers AFP, pour correspondre à la configuration de l'OP : /mnt/raid/netboot ) :

AFP fonctionne, NFS ne fonctionne pas

J'ai monté le système de fichiers AFP en lecture seule en tant qu'utilisateur netboot en utilisant le Finder avec K :

et monté un fichier image DMG sans aucun problème :

$ sudo rm /private/var/netboot/Library-Shadow
$ sudo /usr/bin/hdiutil attach /Volumes/netboot/p7zip-9.04-0.i386.dmg -notremovable -shadow /private/var/netboot/Library-Shadow -owners on -noverify -noautofsck -nobrowse

Puis je l'ai démonté et monté le système de fichiers NFS en lecture seule (j'ai aussi utilisé K ) et ne pouvait pas monter le fichier image DMG.

Je pense que le problème est enregistré ici :

Les moyens d'erreur 30 (voir man 2 intro ) :

30 EROFS Système de fichiers en lecture seule. Une tentative a été faite pour modifier un fichier ou un répertoire a été faite sur un système de fichiers qui était en lecture seule à ce moment-là.

Pas de surprise ici, il s'agit bien d'un système de fichiers en lecture seule, mais... lorsqu'il est monté sur AFP, il fonctionne, pourquoi ?

Parce que l'implémentation NFS d'Apple a quelques problèmes avec le verrouillage. Comme indiqué dans ce poste à gluster.org :

OS X fait une quantité phénoménale de verrouillage de fichiers (certains diraient, inutilement) et a toujours été vraiment sensible à la configuration du verrouillage sur les serveurs NFS. A tel point que si vous si vous choisissez au hasard un serveur NFS dans une grande entreprise, un véritable succès est assez improbable.

Dans ma configuration, le serveur NFS (c'est à dire la VM FreeNAS) était soudainement irresponsable (du point de vue de mon Mac, il ne répondait pas à la demande). /var/log/system.log ) :

La sortie de sudo /usr/bin/hdiutil attach -debug /Volumes/netboot/p7zip-9.04-0.i386.dmg -notremovable -shadow /private/var/netboot/Library-Shadow -owners on -noverify -noautofsck -nobrowse était :

L'erreur 5 signifie (toujours d'après man 2 intro ) :

5 EIO Erreur d'entrée/sortie. Une erreur d'entrée ou de sortie physique s'est produite. Cette erreur ne sera signalée que lors d'une opération opération ultérieure sur le même descripteur de fichier et peut être perdue (surécrite). par toute erreur ultérieure.

ce qui n'est pas surprenant du tout, le système de fichiers NFS avait disparu.

Solution de rechange

Une solution de contournement (testée sur OS X 10.8) consiste à monter NFS avec des options nolocks,locallocks . Comme expliqué dans le post sur gluster.org déjà mentionné :

Heureusement, il existe une solution : il suffit de désactiver le verrouillage du réseau. Vous pouvez le faire en ajoutant les options "nolocks,locallocks" dans le champ des options avancées avancées de l'interface utilisateur de montage NFS de l'Utilitaire de disque, mais c'est douloureux si vous si vous en faites beaucoup, et n'aide pas du tout avec /net. Vous pouvez éditer /etc/auto_master pour ajouter ces options à l'entrée de /net, mais cela n'affecte pas les autres montages - cependant, je recommande de supprimer l'option hidefromfinder dans auto_master. Si vous voulez corriger chaque chaque montage automatique, éditez /etc/autofs.conf et recherchez la ligne qui commence par Ces options sont appliquées à chaque montage. Ajoutez nolocks, locallocks et votre monde sera plus rapide et plus heureux après le redémarrage. après votre redémarrage.

J'ai monté manuellement 172.16.54.186:/mnt/raid/netboot et ça a fonctionné sans problème :

$ sudo rm /private/var/netboot/Library-Shadow
$ sudo mount -o nolocks,locallocks,ro 172.16.54.186:/mnt/raid/netboot /tmp/mnt
$ sudo /usr/bin/hdiutil attach /tmp/mnt/p7zip-9.04-0.i386.dmg -notremovable -shadow /private/var/netboot/Library-Shadow -owners on -noverify -noautofsck -nobrowse
/dev/disk6              Apple_partition_scheme          
/dev/disk6s1            Apple_partition_map             
/dev/disk6s2            Apple_HFS                       /Volumes/p7zip.pkg

J'ai aussi édité /etc/auto_master comme ça :

+auto_master # Use directory service

/net              -hosts    -nosuid,nolocks,locallocks
/home             auto_home -nobrowse,hidefromfinder
/Network/Servers  -fstab

arrêté et commencé automountd y autofsd :

$ sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.automountd.plist 
$ sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.autofsd.plist 
$ sudo launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.autofsd.plist 
$ sudo launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.automountd.plist

et a fonctionné comme un charme :

$ cd /net/172.16.54.186/mnt/raid/netboot
$ ls 
Network Trash Folder  Temporary Items  p7zip-9.04-0.i386.dmg
$ sudo rm /private/var/netboot/Library-Shadow
$ sudo /usr/bin/hdiutil attach p7zip-9.04-0.i386.dmg -notremovable -shadow /private/var/netbot/Library-Shadow -owners on -noverify -noautofsck -nobrowse

Hdiutil attach -readonly

Pour une image qui est stockée sur un système de fichiers en lecture seule, je pense que -readonly doit être utilisé au moment de la fixation.

(Le cas de l'AFP peut être exceptionnel).

Compte tenu du vote négatif et du commentaire de @Josh : j'ai mal compris la -shadow partie de la page de manuel de hdiutil :

permet de joindre des images en lecture seule et en lecture/écriture

- J'ai imaginé que -shadow pourrait passer outre -readonly .
